Abstract |
Background. Ethno-religious characteristics of the population are part of the sociogeographical environment that to a certain extent influence the formation of regionallabour markets. In addition, the ethnicity of the person makes his/her trade area behavior original; it is directly related to the problem of increasing the efficiency of human potential usage. The purpose of this article is to analyze the ethnic component of regional labor markets that must be considered when carrying out the employment policy in multiethnic Volga regions.
Materials and methods. Thereseach objectives were achieved through analyzing ethnic peculiarities of the economic mentality of different peoples. The methodological potential of the research includes systemic and comparative methods that allow to analyze the ethno-religious factor in the formation and development of regional labour markets.
Results. The study has showed that the economic mentality is the most important part of the human potential of the region and largely determines the behavior of people in the labour market.
Conclusions. The conducted research allows to establish that the ethnic component is clearly a part of regional labour markets formation. Thus, when carrying out the employment policy one must consider the interests and behavior styles of labor market representatives of different nationalities, especially in the regions with multiethnic composition of the population.
